Bull Terrier Saturn Devouring His Son — after Francisco Goya, c.1823 | Luggage Tag

Saturn Devouring His Son
after Francisco Goya, c.1823

Goya painted this straight onto the plaster wall of his dining room, where he could see it while he ate. He never titled it, never exhibited it, and never mentioned it to a living soul.

We have made one alteration. It has not made the painting calmer.

After the original in the Prado.
